Final Project

1.Introduction

(1)  Refine the way of rotation which follows the certain object.
(2)  Using Ladybug for environment analysis.
(3)  Using Galapagos to find the best location of structure in the site.

2. Optimizing the way of rotation following certain object

3. Using Ladybug plugin to do the environment analysis

Radiation analysis by using ladybug

4. Using Galapagos to find the expected location

At beginning, I just define the the center point of inner middle curve(both curves inside are structure projecting line) and try to find a certain point which the sum of distance from center point to four boundary lines is minimum. But the result is that some part of the curve line locates outside of boundary.

Then, I separate two parts and find the center point of themselves. Assuming the center of combined  geometry is located in certain point of line which these two points are connected. Finally Galapagos gives me a ideal result.

Project One

This is a BIG conceptual design, and most interesting part is each piece of structure can be rotated following the base below, so a simple structure can create different distinctive shape which can stimulate different types of  experience.

The concept and form of the structure.

My concept of project 1 parametric modeling comes from the window of Boeing 787, passengers can easily adjust the the brightness of the window.

Image result for the principle of 787 window
The principle is just giving the window a voltage.

Making to be like the shape of armadillo.
